Mission Statement

We at the Pompton Lakes Municipal Utilities Authority remain committed to providing our community with water that meets or surpasses all standards for safe drinking water. These health and safety standards are set by the United States Environmental Protection Agency (E.P.A.) and the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (N.J.D.E.P.).

The Pompton Lakes Municipal Utilities Authority, in conjunction with N.J.D.E.P. approved independent laboratories, conducts over 400 tests each year to ensure your drinking water meets all of these standards.

Important Notice - Hydrant Flushing

Beginning Monday, April 16, 2018 the Pompton Lakes Borough Municipal Utilities Authority will begin its Spring Hydrant Flushing Program. The hydrant flushing program will be performed during the hours of 12:00 AM and 6:00 AM in order to cause the least inconvenience to our customers. It should be noted that customers may experience a temporary discoloration in their water or a drop in water pressure during the program.
