We at the Pompton Lakes Municipal Utilities Authority remain committed to providing our community with water that meets or surpasses all standards for safe drinking water. These health and safety standards are set by the United States Environmental Protection Agency (E.P.A.) and the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (N.J.D.E.P.).
The Pompton Lakes Municipal Utilities Authority, in conjunction with N.J.D.E.P. approved independent laboratories, conducts over 400 tests each year to ensure your drinking water meets all of these standards.

The Lower Twin Lakes Dam Restoration Project is now completed. This was made possible by the Authority obtaining a low interest loan from the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, Bureau of Dam Safety & Compliance.
